Rebranding
The challenge for this client was to freshen up the whole brand - logo, website... From the old and old-style branding they had in years to something juvenile, playful, something that gives them the modern note.
First, I started with the logo sign - moving from the seen "tooth" in numerous dentist's studios to something cooler. The new logo sign was designed to represent the "cool" tooth with the "S" letter creating the main element of the tooth form (S as the initial letter of the brand - Spadent).
Colors & type
Overall colors are two shades of blue, which are at the same time in contrast, and neutral gray. Light blue suggests cleanliness, medicine, freshness. It evokes feelings of calmness or serenity. Dark blue suggests peacefulness, tranquility, security & experience - resembling the doctor-client relationship.
The typography used is a combination of Cinzel and Open Sans font. The new font combination looks more powerful, and at the same time easier to read. With Cinzel font the brand looks more refined with a touch of tradition, and the Open Sans is simple and easy to read.
Other printed materials have implemented logotype in various shapes. The logo symbol was scaled up giving the modern and stronger appeal of the brand.
UI redesign
On the website, you will see the enlarged shape of the logo sign. I have played with elements giving the website bit more dynamic.
The blue and gray tones from the branding were alleviated with the mild orange as an ideal contrast. These yellow elements can be seen during the interaction with the website and on the C2A buttons which is great for highlighting important details while navigating the site.
